Video: Method Acting the Role of Charlie Brown

Method acting, developed by Konstantin Stanislavsky, has a new star. Move over Brando, Clift and Dean -- Chris Fretz has arrived.

So committed to his performance as the title character in the Christopher Dock Mennonite High School adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas, Mr. Fetz had his head shaved "because cast member Kate Swartz, who played Lucy, suggested it," reports a Reporter Online article by staff writer Brian Bingaman.

“Originally, I didn’t like the idea. But the more I thought about it, I decided it was senior year,” [Chris Fetz] said.

As for the black, W-shaped curlicue on Charlie Brown’s forehead, “the only problem is it’s permanent marker and it’s going to be there awhile,” said Fretz.

I was sorry to hear that with only one exception ("Linus and Lucy") the Vince Guaraldi score was cut.
